Les dispositifs de s&eacute;curit&eacute; active agissent avant qu&rsquo;un accident ne se produise et existent pour aider l&rsquo;automobiliste ou le motard dans sa conduite. La s&eacute;curit&eacute; passive quant &agrave; elle regroupe les dispositifs permettant de limiter au maximum les cons&eacute;quences et la gravit&eacute; d&rsquo;un accident. Elle est d&eacute;crite comme passive car sa pr&eacute;sence ne fait sens qu&rsquo;une fois qu&rsquo;un accident ne se produise.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Par exemple, le non port de la ceinture de s&eacute;curit&eacute; est dangereux lorsqu&rsquo;un accident se produit. C&rsquo;est pour cela que c&rsquo;est un dispositif de s&eacute;curit&eacute; passive. si elle \u00e9choue (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.securite-routiere.gouv.fr\/dangers-de-la-route\/la-vitesse-et-la-conduite\">vitesse trop \u00e9lev\u00e9e<\/a>, adh\u00e9rence nulle), la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 passive prend le relais pour prot\u00e9ger les occupants<\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><strong>La r\u00e9duction de la force d&rsquo;impact :<\/strong> En aidant au freinage, la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 active r\u00e9duit la vitesse du choc, ce qui rend les dispositifs passifs (airbags, ceintures) beaucoup plus efficaces et rend le choc moins dangereux<\/li><\/ul><p>Voir les dispositifs de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 active et passive comme des oppos\u00e9s serait une erreur. Ils sont plut\u00f4t compl\u00e9mentaires.
