Et les r\u00e9sultats s\u2019accordent \u00e0 dire que le v\u00e9lo peut faire maigrir et de mani\u00e8re assez positive. On peut notamment citer une grande \u00e9tude britannique men\u00e9e sur plus de 150 000 participants qui r\u00e9v\u00e8le que le v\u00e9lo est un des moyens les plus efficaces pour lutter contre la prise de poids. Il en ressort \u00e9galement que faire du v\u00e9lo est plus efficace que de marcher. Ce sont les conclusions des recherches de l\u2019universit\u00e9 de Copenhague (Danemark) en 2012. Avec 30 minutes de pratique physique quotidienne, la perte de masse grasse et de poids est presque \u00e9quivalente \u00e0 celle d\u2019une heure d\u2019activit\u00e9 sportive. Cette activit\u00e9 physique pr\u00e9sente \u00e9galement l\u2019avantage d\u2019\u00eatre un sport \u201cport\u00e9\u201d contrairement \u00e0 la course \u00e0 pied.
